Frequently Asked Questions

I haven't received an email about my course—where is it?

Your registration confirmation is sent right after you sign up. Then, in the lead-up to your start date, you’ll receive a second email from ‘Tactical Physiotherapy’ with your course details and access to any pre-course material. *To make sure these emails reach you, add info@tacticalphysio.com to your contacts or safe-senders list.

What happens after I register?

You’ll get an immediate confirmation email with your registration details. As your course approaches, we’ll send access to Pathwright, our online learning portal, 30 days prior to the in-person course, where any pre-course readings, homework, and quizzes live. That portal is also where you’ll find course instructions and, once you’ve finished, your certificate of completion.

Is there anything I need to do before the course starts?

Yes—our dry needling courses include pre-course content that must be done before day one on the in-person course. We release that material 30 days before the course so you have time to work through it—please start as soon as you get access. It’s imperative that you complete the online coursework to obtain your certificate. If you do not come to the course with the pre-course work complete, it becomes obvious in your needling labs and application of the techniques—you will need this knowledge to pass competency testing.

What's provided, and what should I bring?

We supply lunch!plus snacks, and all the needles and equipment you’ll need to learn and practice during the course, including a pdf of our course manual. We are also here for ongoing support for you afterward. Bring a laptop/iPad so you can open course materials and complete any online quizzes if not completedyour slides are printed in the manual for note-taking. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the areas we’ll be needling (shoulders, back, legs, etc.).

Can I take this course if I am pregnant?

For the TP1 course, you may not take it in any stage of pregnancy, due to contraindications and strong precaution. For other courses, contact us immediately. You may be able to take the course if you have someone to come as a ‘body double’ for you to take the dry needling sessions others may need to practice. This person may not be of the professions who are able to obtain certification on the course. Again, please contact us for confirmation and approval.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer discounts for current students (with proof of enrollment) and for military veterans (with proof of service, such as a DD-214 or CAC card). Email us to verify and we’ll send your code.

What's your cancellation and refund policy?

Plans change, and we try to honor life commitments and happenings. Cancel more than 30 days before your course for a full refund or to transfer to another course (only if online course content has not yet been accessed)At 30 days before the course dateyou’re eligible for a transfer onlyWithin 2 weeks (14 days) of the course, a cancelation will result in a transfer PLUS a $100 fee. All refunds are subject to a 3.5% processing fee for CC transactions. (Note the separate rule above: once pre-course dry needling material has been released to you, only a transfer is available.)

How do I choose the right course for me?

If your state practice act sets a minimum number of dry needling contact hours, check that first, since it can determine which format you need. TP1 (Foundations) is our entry point, TP1.5 (Bridge) builds on it, and TP2 (Advanced Integration) is coming soon. If you’re not sure where to start, just contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

What's your class size?

We cap classes at 10:1 students per instructor or better, so you get plenty of hands-on time and individual feedbackand so we stay compliant with continuing-competency requirements and offer the safest and most quality course experience possible.

How long will I have access to the course content?

Your online materials stay available for 6 months after purchase. During that window you can rewatch videos, revisit readings, and download anything that’s downloadable. After it ends, access expires.

Want to keep learning after that? You can subscribe to The Foundation plan for ongoing access to our growing library of technique videos, refreshers, and additional resources to keep your skills sharp long after the course wraps. It’s a great way to stay connected and keep building on what you learned. How do I know where the course is, to make hotel and flight arrangements?

The course location is listed during the registration process for each course offering. Once you register, you can also find the course location and additional details within your course content in Pathwright.

We recommend reviewing both the registration page and your Pathwright course materials before making travel arrangements. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
